The point of this article is that even THCV has come to be treated as a dangerous drug.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has seen the recent boom in Japan’s synthetic cannabinoid market and has designated synthetic cannabinoids that undergo various transformations one after another as dangerous drugs.

As a result, THCV has also been included as a designated drug although THCV has no proven psychoactive effects such as getting high.
