Note 1: Japanese law prohibits the use of hemp flowers, leaves, and branches as raw materials in products. So the raw material of the CBD product needs to be only the main stem and seed of mature hemp.
In addition, MHLW will require the document to prove this and a photograph of the main stem of hemp, which is the raw material.
In addition, Japanese regulators will not allow imports of products for which THC has been detected in the product. The detection result of THC must be ND.
In other words, if hemp flowers or leaves are used as the raw material for your CBD product, if you can not prepare photos of the stem of the raw material, or if THC is detected from the product, your product can not get import permission.
Note 2: Exporting CBD products to Japan looks very hard, but it would be fine if you could provide the documents, photos and analysis tables required by the regulatory authorities.
